Wiktionary defines a blizzard as "a severe snowstorm, especially with strong winds and greatly reduced visibility." Don't know if today qualifies.

I tried to find a definition on the Environment Canada weather site, but could not. I did discover however, that they have a 1-900 weather line. I shit you not. Only in Canada.
